New Delhi: India will send Bihar governor Syed Ata Hasnain and minister of state for external affairs Pabitra Margherita to Iran to represent the country at the funeral ceremonies of the late Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Iran had invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend the state funeral, but New Delhi has decided to be represented by Hasnain and Margherita, according to sources.
