On February 19, Trump said that he would give 10 to 15 days to reach a meaningful deal with Iran. If you include the 19th, then the 10th day falls out in two more days, on Saturday.

No deal was reached in today’s talks in Geneva. The Omani foreign minister announced that there would be more talks in Vienna next week. But Trump might attack before that. Indeed eight months ago, when the US attacked Iran, the US and Iran were in the middle of negotiations when the attack happened. So it’s possible that Trump might attack very soon.

As we await the possibility of the Iranian regime’s elimination — and thus the threat to world stability and peace being eliminated — the world sits tight, patiently, watching for clues, waiting to see what will happen.

The holiday of Purim is next Tuesday. It’s a time when evil was defeated. Haman and his sons were hung. Sometimes that’s the only way to deal with pure evil.

Interestingly, G-d‘s name is not mentioned at all in Megilat Esther, the scroll that Esther asked to be written to commemorate and tell the story of the Purim miracle. G-d’s name is not mentioned in this Magilla, but His influence is clearly felt, as events followed events, orchestrated by Divine Providence, culminating in the Purim miracle.

Now too, we have seen, in recent years, the elimination of evil leaders. Libya, Iraq, Syria, Hezbollah, Hamas lost their leaders, evil people bent on the destruction of civilization. Eight months ago, top commanders and scientists of Iran were killed in one moment. And now, the top leadership of Iran is poised to fall.

Purim 5786  is approaching. The salvation of mankind seems very close.
