The Two True US War Goals

19 0
yesterday

End the Islamist regime. Transfer full power to the pro-Western opposition that represents the majority of Iranians. Turn over to it:

all government structures

all the informal structures of totalitarian control – propaganda structures, religious structures, etc.

Declare, inspect, dismantle, and destroy all the Islamist regime’s structures of domestic and global terror:

The entire nuclear program. All nuclear materials and facilities. Turn over all nuclear experts.

All missiles and drones programs and factories.

The whole network of proxy armies and intelligence agents

The only purpose of talks

There is only one purpose for talks with the existing regime: To arrange for it to transfer power to a legitimate opposition transitional government. To get the transfer done sooner, faster, fuller, and more peacefully,

We know who the legitimate oppositionists are – the ones who represent the views of a large majority of the Iranian people. Fortunately they are also, the people themselves, pro-Western.

Only transitional use of old regime personnel

President Trump sometimes speaks of a transitional process, using interim old regime personnel. This could actually help with the transfer of power – but only as long as it is well-designed to ensure that it is truly transitional to a full transfer to the popular opposition.

It must not be allowed to become another trick for the enemy to make just a few concessions to the West, and then keep its inherently anti-Western regime in power. If it even tries this, we should demand that it proceed to the full transition to the opposition now, and enforce this by harshly punishing its personnel for their continued dirty tricks.

How to get there, fast

There are two things to do to get the power transferred faster:

A. Offer generous terms of surrender

B. Build up the new transitional regime:

Knock opposition heads together and get them to agree on a leadership list and structure. Take over and secure a base area inside Iran with Israeli forces. Bring in new regime representatives there. Let it start building up its army and civil service there. Accept the surrender there of old regime forces.

Accept the surrender there of old regime forces.

We already do offer generous terms of surrender for regime forces and leaders: amnesty, and refuge wherever they want. If we proves expedient to add some further bribe-like incentives, so be it.

There’s a good reason for this: to get the power transferred ASAP. To minimize the amount of nuclear materials and personnel who can escape to the terrorist underground in Iran and abroad. The longer the old regime persists, the worse the escape will be.

Goal 1 first. Goal 2 requires it

Goal 1 – full regime change – is the only way for Goal 2 to be achieved truly and enduringly. It is the only way to permanently dismantle the nuclear, missile, and proxy programs. Without a full regime change and complete destruction of the Islamist power network in Iran, the nuclear program will inevitably either be restarted soon or else its expert personnel and fissile materials will be transferred to rogue Islamist terrorists.

Time is of the essence

The sooner power is transferred to a truly new regime, the safer we all are.
