100% Civilian Casualties Does Not Bother Sarandon
The Regressive Left — Sarandon, Mamdani, AOC, Talib — and the Conspiratorial Right — Owens, Carlson, Fuentes — have again joined forces to condemn the prospect of Iranian freedom.
Between the lot, not one could muster the moral fortitude to condemn decades of brutal Islamic State occupation, not even for the women who had their eyes gouged by the regime or the gays forced to undergo gender reassignment surgery or risk the death penalty. Instead, a few listed praised the IRGC, and insisted the dead protesters are a conspiracy.
It’s no surprise that following the murder of tens-of-thousands of protesters, all civilians, they were silent. It’s equally unsurprising the lot condemn the efforts of nearly a dozen states to free Iran. Extremists are predictable, not nuanced, certainly not principled.
Susan Sarandon, the face of attention seeking, virtue signalling, narcissistic faux-pacifism, has instead chosen to focus on the Iranian civilian causalities (of Iranians, exclusively) alone. One video shows IRGC forces smiling as they pull dead bodies from a girls’ school deliberarely placed on a military base.
Sarandon certainly saw the Iranians cheering on the war on the IRGC. She just takes bigger issues with the progressive states granting asylum to those escaping the very regime she defends.
On day three of the war, there are no reports of IDF deaths. Not one. Nada. Which begs the question, will this be the first war where one side, Israel and several Arab states, have a one-hundred-percent civilian-death-ratio?
If caring for civilians is what Susan Sarandon and the divorced-from-reality Left, destroying the image of my party, really care about, certainly a one-hundred-percent civilian death rate would be notable. And yet…
The truth, which all free thinkers learned on Oct 7, 2023, when somewhere between two thirds to three quarters of the dead were civilians, is that this has nothing to do with civilian-to-combatant death ratios. It has to do with regime alliances. Somehow the West continues to pretend that those who hate the West deserve to be amplified. No journalists ask Sarandon, “What of the civilians in Israel? Dubai? Qatar?” Nor “What about the secular Iranians who have to live under IRGC rule?”
I’m not one to speak of good vs. evil. I’m one to cite statistics. Based on current data, which will change, one-hundred-percent of the dead on the Israeli side are civilians. And yet nearly all the Israelis I talk to are okay with this, so long as Bibi and Trump continue the war until Iran has a regime change. The same goes for the secular Iranians, desperate for freedom. Just get leaders who support basic human rights, and we will know the dead died for a good cause. End the war prematurely, in a desperate attempt to appease the Red-Green alliance, and their deaths are needless.
While Sarandon weeps for Ayatollah Khameini, proud U.S., Israel and Iranian patriots rejoice at the prospect of Iranian freedom. We pray for a reduction in Islamic State proxxies metaphorically and literally blowing up chances at global peace.
