French artificial intelligence pioneer Mistral has completed a landmark €3 billion ($3.3 billion) Series D financing round, pushing its post-money valuation to €21 billion (approximately $24 billion).

Mistral said that the round was jointly led by existing investor PSG Equity, along with South Korea's Samsung Electronics and the EU-backed Scaleup Europe Fund, which both invested in it for the first time.
