Protect us from hypocrisy over ICE

In her Feb. 4 letter, (“Writer misconstrues ICE’s role, activity,”) Barbara Snyder wrote that Alex Pretti was armed. He kicked out a taillight. He was not an innocent guy. He was provocative.

Number one, Pretti had a legal concealed carry permit. The much revered Second Amendment. The gun was in a holster at his back. He never removed it. Never brandished it.

ICE took it, then when he was face down, two agents executed him. He committed property damage? So did the Trump supporters on Jan. 6, to the tune of close to $3 million.

As for provocative? The Jan. 6 rioters attacked Capitol Police for hours with chemical spray, American flag poles, their own shields, etc.

It’s amazing the restraint those outnumbered police showed compared to ICE.
