City leaders needed to save Gershon’s
How could Gershon’s fall through the financial cracks and, after almost 70 years, close?
Where is Metroplex when you need it? All those vanity projects that were funded in downtown Schenectady and they can’t make a long-term, low-interest loan to a family business where many of Schenectady’s most influential citizens used to meet at 7 a.m. for breakfast. This isn’t the failure of a restaurant; this is the death of an institution.
It behooves the city, a group of banks and Metroplex to see that Gershon’s is resurrected by the daughter of........
