Fortis’ Central Hudson takeover working well

Regarding Central Hudson’s acquisition by Fortis Inc., Rep. Josh Riley is just wrong.

He is misinformed, or more likely, uninformed. He is only interested in grabbing newspaper headlines and creating sound bites for social media, plain and simple.

The acquisition was, without question, the absolute best outcome for Central Hudson and its customers.

Fortis promised to maintain local corporate oversight and board members who live in the Hudson Valley. Fortis promised there would not be layoffs or consolidation of services elsewhere.

Fortis promised it would infuse millions of dollars to upgrade Central Hudson’s electrical system to ensure the continued reliable delivery of service to Central Hudson’s customers now, and into the foreseeable........
