HIGH NOTES: Marathon dance for charity, environmental grants, CPR hero, polar plunge fundraiser
In South Glens Falls, students, school employees, administrators, individuals and community and business sponsors helped raise more than $700,500 as part of the 48th annual South High Marathon Dance. This year’s 28-hour marathon dance raised money for 13 individuals and families and 22 local charitable organizations. Each of the approximately 700 students had to raise at least $150 to participate. In its 48-year history, the dance marathon has raised more than $12 million.
