EDITORIAL: Prepare to stay safe on New Year’s Eve
There are three places you don’t want to start the new year: the police station, the emergency room or the morgue.
Is that plain enough for you to make sure you take precautions on what’s traditionally one of the most dangerous nights of the year on the roads?
Wednesday is New Year’s Eve. This year, the National Safety Council estimates that 179 people may die in New Year’s Eve crashes nationwide and another 20,400 individuals will suffer injuries severe enough to require medical attention.
That might be you, your loved ones, other passengers in your car or people in other vehicles.
