As the crowds began to leave British rock band Coldplay’s concert in Mumbai last year, the crew had four hours to dismantle the production. The band’s next show was four days later in Ahmedabad, a 36-hour drive away in normal traffic, and much of the rig Rigs are the systems that safely hang lights, speakers, and screens above the stage— using strong metal frames, cables, and motorized chains attached to the ceiling— so nothing falls on the performers or crowd below.equipment was common for both shows.
