Watch: Trump unveils ‘Freedom Haulers’ initiative to boost veteran hiring

President Trump announced Thursday afternoon a new initiative, dubbed “Freedom Haulers,” to connect military veterans with jobs in the trucking industry.

The program will be a joint effort by the departments of Transportation, Veterans Affairs, Labor and Defense, according to the White House. The initiative will also expand opportunities for the veterans involved to receive expedited commercial driver’s licenses.

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy shared a video on the social platform X outlining some expected benefits, while also taking a swing at immigrants who work in the industry.........
