New York City tightens security ahead of Trump appearance at NBA Finals

New York City is tightening security ahead of President Trump’s attendance of Game 3 of the NBA Finals between the New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs.

“Tonight is Game 3 of the NBA finals – an exciting time for New York City – and we want everyone to be able to enjoy the game safely,” the New York City Police Department (NYPD) said in a thread on the social platform X on Monday morning.

“With tonight’s presidential visit, there will be extra security measures in and around [Madison Square Garden (MSG)] that the NYPD and Secret Service have planned together,” the police department added. 

The NYPD added in their thread that people and cars will be barred — from 4 p.m.........
