Youngkin on political future: ‘I have more to give’
Former Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R) made clear he’s ready to return to public office just weeks after finishing his term and leaving the governor’s mansion.
In a preview of his interview on the “Hang out with Sean Hannity” podcast — which was recorded a few weeks ago but is set to be released in full on Tuesday — the former governor discussed life as a civilian and what he sees in his political future.
“I have more to give. I just do,” Youngkin told Hannity on the Fox News podcast.
“The one year of campaigning and the four years of running — so five years — went by in five seconds,” he said. “It was amazing. Every morning, I woke up literally bounding out of bed, ready to roll. And that was the most purposeful I’ve ever felt in my whole life.”
Youngkin said he took his wife, former Virginia first lady Suzanne Youngkin, on a vacation that he said was “so deserved,” calling her “one of the best first ladies in America.”
