Lowe’s launches subscription service for in-home maintenance

(NewsNation) — Lowe’s announced last week it is launching a subscription service for homeowners.

The retail company’s HomeCare+ plan offers homeowners two in-home service visits per year for $99 annually.

″HomeCare+ is all about simplifying home improvement and making it easier for our customers,” said Jen Wilson, Lowe’s senior vice president and chief marketing officer.

“As AI plays a bigger role in people’s lives, and ultimately in their homes, leaning into the power of human connection uniquely positions Lowe’s as the most helpful brand in home improvement,” she added.

The services offered in the program include:

HVAC filter replacement

Refrigerator water filter replacement

Water heater flushing

Garage door lubrication

Smoke detector battery replacement

Light bulb replacement

The new program is available to MyLowe’s Rewards members in areas covering 75 percent of homes in the U.S.

Members can also select all services for one visit if needed.

“We know home maintenance can feel overwhelming, whether you’re a first-time homeowner, a busy parent or someone who’s simply uncomfortable climbing ladders around the home,” stated Amanda Bailey, Lowe’s vice president of customer marketing and loyalty.

The company notes subscribers also get Gold Status in MyLowe’s Rewards and 5 percent off select supplies tied to the services.
