Trump plan to raise debt limit on shaky ground in Congress as US debt hits $40T

Paul Gigot, the editorial page editor of The Wall Street Journal, said investor Stanley Druckenmiller did not violate the Journal’s policies when he used artificial intelligence to write an op-ed the outlet published Monday.

Gigot noted Tuesday that people use AI, which he called a “fact of modern life,” to “assist in their work and their writing, including with research, checking grammar, editing” and other tasks.

“The question for us is whether what we publish from contributors reflects an author’s original argument, and if the author has the standing and credibility to make it,” Gigot said in a statement,........
