Ossoff leads Collins by 9 points in Georgia Senate race: Poll

Democratic Sen. Jon Ossoff (Ga.) holds a 9-point lead over Rep. Mike Collins (R-Ga.) in a new AARP poll, with less than four months remaining before voters in the Peach State decide whether to give Ossoff a second Senate term.

The survey, which bipartisan pollsters Fabrizio Ward and Impact Research conducted July 13-16, found that 52 percent of 1,060 likely voters backed Ossoff. Collins, who won the GOP primary runoff over former football coach Derek Dooley last month, received support from 43 percent of respondents.

Five percent of respondents either chose another candidate or were undecided, while Ossoff’s lead was outside the margin of error of 3 percentage points.
