Iran reviewing US proposal to end war

A spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed Thursday that Tehran is reviewing a U.S. proposal to end hostilities, after President Trump threatened Iran against rejecting the deal.

Esmaeil Baqaei, the spokesperson for the ministry, told the ISNA news agency that Iranian officials are reviewing the proposal, according to Al Jazeera. He also reportedly told the news agency that the Iranian government will convey its stance to mediators in Pakistan after “finalizing its views.”

The U.S.-proposed memo to Iran would establish a framework for future talks on the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program, a source familiar with the negotiations told NewsNation’s Kellie Meyer on Wednesday.
