Budget airlines ask Trump for $2.5 million bailout: bad idea! 

We’ve seen this movie before, but this time, it’s happening mid-conflict.  

Budget airlines are now asking the Trump administration for $2.5 billion in relief, and at the center of it all is Spirit Airlines — a struggling carrier that the president has openly floated the idea of just buying outright.  

On the one hand, there is a real crisis happening. The war involving the U.S., Israel and Iran has sent jet fuel prices soaring, in some cases doubling, and that is crushing airlines, especially the low-cost ones that survive on razor-thin margins. These are the carriers that make travel accessible for everyday Americans.  

But on the other hand, we’re talking about taxpayer money stepping in to rescue private companies. Once again.  

This is probably one of the only times Elizabeth Warren and Ted Cruz will ever agree. They both think this is........
