Trump: There will be no enrichment of uranium in Iran

President Trump said Wednesday that Iran will not enrich uranium, and that the U.S. will work with the country to dig up B-2 bombers as part of the latest agreement reached between the two countries.

“The United States will work closely with Iran, which we have determined has gone through what will be a very productive Regime Change! There will be no enrichment of Uranium, and the United States will, working with Iran, dig up and remove all of the deeply buried (B-2 Bombers) Nuclear ‘Dust,’” Trump wrote in an early morning Truth Social post.

“It is now, and has been, under very exacting Satellite Surveillance (Space Force!). Nothing has been touched from the date of attack. We are, and will be, talking Tariff and Sanctions relief with Iran. Many of the 15 points have already been agreed to,” he added.

Trump’s comments come less than a day after he announced another temporary pause on U.S. attacks in Iran for two weeks — as long as the regime agreed to open the Strait of Hormuz. The president said a 10-point proposal was received from Tehran that is a “workable basis on which to negotiate.”

However, neither Iran or Pakistan, which has been playing a mediating role between the two countries, mentioned uranium in their statements on the ceasefire.

According to the Guardian, citing Iranian state television, the 10-point plan includes the continuation of Iran’s control over the Strait of Hormuz, U.S. military withdrawal from the Middle East and the lifting of all primary and secondary sanctions on Iran.

Talks between the U.S. and Iran are set to take place in Islamabad on Friday.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt signaled Tuesday that the talks are still being planned.

“There are discussions about in person talks, but nothing is final until announced by the President or the White House,” she said.

Trump threatened earlier Tuesday morning that “a whole civilization will die tonight never to be brought back again” unless “something revolutionary wonderful” occurs to get a deal agreed upon by the US and Iran.

The president said Monday that the reopening of the strait is a “very big priority” after another ceasefire proposal was submitted to the U.S. but was shot down.

The closure of the channel has destabilized oil supplies and sent energy and fuel prices skyrocketing since the war began more than five weeks ago. Iran has only let a few ships through for a fee, and according to Trump, as a gift to the U.S. to show they were serious about negotiations.

The president told ABC News on Wednesday that he was considering launching a “joint venture” with Iran to charge tolls in the Strait of Hormuz.

“We’re thinking of doing it as a joint venture. It’s a way of securing it — also securing it from lots of other people,” he said, calling it “a beautiful thing.”
