Charlamagne rips IRS settlement: ‘Trump is just paying his goons’

Charlamagne tha God is ripping President Trump over the $1.8 billion fund to settle the commander in chief’s lawsuit against the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), calling it “blatant corruption happening in this country” at taxpayers’ expense.

“I don’t care what your race is, I don’t care what your party is. There is no way on God’s green Earth that we can be OK with this,” the “Breakfast Club” co-host said on the radio show on Tuesday, labeling the president its “donkey of the day.”

“Let’s be clear: President Trump is just paying his goons. This is incentive for his goons to do his bidding again,” Charlamagne, who was born Lenard McKelvey, said. 

The Department of Justice (DOJ) announced Monday that the “anti-weaponization” fund was created in order to issue “formal apologies” to people who pursue settlements alleging they were wronged by the government. The fund was part of a settlement after Trump had sued the IRS for $10 billion.
