Norway’s World Cup fans are taking over New York City

Supporters of Norway took over New York City this week as the team competed in group stage action during this year’s opening round of the World Cup.

Social media has been filled in recent days with photos and videos of fans celebrating in Manhattan streets and crowding bars as the team notched a 3-2 victory over Senegal on Monday.

One video showed dozens of Norway fans performing their famous “row” cheer in Times Square, which the club led a massive rendition of after its second consecutive victory at New York/New Jersey Stadium.

Other clips online showed Norwegian supporters baking in the sun at Citi Field in Queens during a New York Mets game as temperatures rose........
