Colbert on time slot not going to traditional late-night show: ‘None of my business’
Comedian Stephen Colbert demurred when asked about the time slot on CBS he will soon vacate not being replaced by a traditional late-night show.
“It’s none of my business,” Colbert said during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter when asked about “The Late Show” being replaced by Byron Allen’s “Comics Unleashed” on CBS.
“God bless him. I know Byron. We got to know each other last year, actually. He’s fascinating,” Colbert said of Allen. “When I found out, I wrote him the next morning and I said, “Hey, congrats. I heard you got the time. Good for you. Wouldn’t it be lovely if you could drop Mr. Carson a note,’” a reference to the deceased late-night........
