Trump surprised by Supreme Court decision to not review E. Jean Carroll case

President Trump on Monday said he was surprised by the Supreme Court’s decision not to review the verdict in E. Jean Carroll’s suit against him, in which he was found liable for sexually abusing the writer inside a dressing room during the mid-1990s and defaming her.

“Surprisingly, the Supreme Court declined to ‘review’ a Fake Case brought against me by a woman I never met (Decades old celebrity photo line, standing with her husband, does not count!),” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post condemning the ruling.

“I will continue the fight against this Weaponization and Lawfare Case against me, including the ridiculous claim of Defamation, with all of my power and strength,” he added. 

The president’s personal lawyers originally appealed the lower court’s verdict, arguing a judge allowed jurors to hear biased........
