(NEXSTAR) – As more chains continue to join and up their game in the “chicken wars,” another fast food brand is expanding its footprint. 

It’s been 30 years since Raising Cane’s first opened in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Since then, the company has brought its chicken fingers and Cane’s Sauce to more than 950 locations in 44 states, the District of Columbia, and Guam. 

Cane’s is now gearing up to open several new restaurants in September as it continues to grow.
