Carney’s current solid footing won’t last forever
OTTAWA—One year in as prime minister, and Mark Carney is arguably at the top of his political game. He just secured a majority government through some byelection wins and five floor crossings. He and his party continue to outperform both Pierre Poilievre and the Conservatives in every major poll.
Canadians, although somewhat more immune to United States President Donald Trump’s theatrics, still consider the president a concern for Canada, and view Carney—at least now—as the best federal option to lead us in these times. To borrow a phrase from the guy he succeeded, it is still “sunny ways” for Carney.
