During Friday’s redo of the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, President Donald Trump jokingly compared CNN anchor Kaitlan Collins’ appearance to that of Dylan Mulvaney, the mentally ill man cosplaying as a woman. Mulvaney’s viral Bud Light posts three years ago set off a firestorm that resulted in a boycott of Bud Light and crushed the company’s sales.

But his joke inadvertently proved that the corporate media knows the entire trans ideology is one big farce.

“I thought Kaitlan had really made it big with a major new sponsorship, but then I informed her that it wasn’t her on the Bud Light can; it was Dylan Mulvaney,” Trump joked.

Collins later posted a series of photos on Instagram, including one of a quote from Eleanor Roosevelt that read, “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.”

Corporate media also appeared to have taken offense to the joke, with Rolling Stone, People Magazine, The Independent and the Daily Beast framing Trump’s remarks about Collins as an “attack” and listing the Mulvaney comparison as one of the supposed attacks.

The Daily Beast accused Trump of comparing Collins to Mulvaney “in what appeared to be a transphobic gibe.”
