A left-wing San Francisco leader who oversaw millions in racial equity grants allegedly used the money to fund first-class flights, her son’s graduate school tuition, and a trip to Martha’s Vineyard, among other expenses.
Sheryl Davis, 57, has been charged with “13 felony counts of having a financial conflict of interest in a government contract … one felony count of misappropriating public funds … three felony counts of perjury … one misdemeanor count of receiving gifts from a restricted source … and one misdemeanor count of having a financial conflict of interest in a government decision,” according to a press release from the San Francisco District Attorney published Monday.
