The Lightning Thief. The Percy Jackson Musical.

This is another show where the audience seems to be cheering what they think they are seeing, rather than what is actually on the stage.

In this case it is the successful Percy Jackson books and movies being played out live in front of them.

That is not to say this is not an entertaining production that stands on its own.

However, without some knowledge of the Rick Riordan books and/or Greek mythology, I wonder how much of the very fast-moving storyline would have been fully understood.

This is compounded by the lyrics of the reasonably catchy songs........
