MP takes 'Newport treasure' to 10 Downing Street for St David's Day
Last week, I had the great pleasure of inviting and joining Norman Parselle, who runs County in the Community, to No.10 Downing Street for a St. David’s Day reception celebrating community champions.
Norm is a real Newport treasure—the work he has done over the years to support people of all ages through football and wellbeing initiatives across Newport is incredible, and it was brilliant to join him for this special occasion.
On the topic of celebrating Newport’s excellence, late last month, I spoke in the St. David’s Day debate in the House of Commons about Newport’s role in the next industrial revolution and the city's strategic importance in the industries of the future.
