Good Morning Britain (GMB) viewers have slammed the ITV show this morning after a “car crash” interview.

During Tuesday’s programme (October 22), hosts Richard Madeley and Susanna Reid interviewed Justice Secretary Shabana Mahmood over plans for 1,100 prisoners to be released early today.

The next stage of early inmate releases is being carried out in a bid to ease overcrowding in the prison system, as part of the policy (known as SDS40) being expanded to those serving sentences of five years or more.
