“Frustrated” Coronation Street fans have demanded “justice for Weatherfield” as the ITV soap has not aired for more than a week.

Due to the UEFA Women's EURO 2025 tournament currently taking place, ITV1 has been showing coverage of matches, including the France v Wales game this evening (July 9).

But it’s meant that Corrie has been given the boot, in what viewers think has been the “longest that ITV has ever gone without airing an episode since the show began”.

By tomorrow (July 10), there will have been no Weatherfield drama aired on TV for eight days and many have joked they are owed “Coronation Street debt”.

Some are also hoping for “extra” episodes next week to compensate.

It comes as someone posted on Reddit: “Does anyone else keep track of ‘Coronation Street debt’?”

“Like… it was only on twice........
