Bridget Jones' Leo Woodall's rise to fame from Shepherd's Bush

Leo Woodall has fast become a household name after landing a leading role in the new Bridget Jones film Mad About the Boy – but what do we know about the Shepherd’s Bush-born heartthrob?

The 28-year-old first shot to fame as Jack in The White Lotus in 2022, before gaining wider popularity last year as Dexter Mayhew in Netflix’s new adaptation of David Nicholl’s bestselling novel One Day.

Set to star in the new Bridget Jones film – released in cinemas nationwide this Thursday (February 13) - Leo will play newly-widowed Bridget’s love interest named ‘Roxster’.

Since it was announced late last year that Leo would play the leading man in the franchise, media coverage ramped up with fans wanting to know who he is dating and how they could grab a selfie with him.

In a recent interview with Elle, Leo said: “I don’t really get the tube anymore. (A woman) told me her husband gets really jealous. It was just so uncomfortable.”

Leo’s family tree is full of thespians – and his father is the actor Andrew Woodall, known for parts in The Count of Monte........
