A California man from a small town outside Yosemite was arrested Sunday after allegedly attempting to set off a backpack explosive during a gold mining event in Idaho. The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release that it responded to an “explosive incident” that was extinguished before it injured any of the event attendees.
