In late May, the Korean beauty giant Olive Young — which has over 1,400 locations in South Korea — opened its inaugural U.S. flagship store in Pasadena. The Southern California opening drew hundreds of people, with some devoted shoppers camping out overnight and waiting hours for their turn to enter the cavernous store; the line of shoppers stretched multiple blocks. Inside, people sifted through hundreds of Korean beauty products and sunscreen offerings, while others waited to try out the store’s complimentary beauty services, like a full-tilt........
