Home values rose in every Bay Area county. One is leaving the rest behind

Bay Area home values inched up in each of the nine counties in August, with the biggest growth in San Francisco.
A look at Zillow’s August home value data shows that market values were up 1.8% last month in San Francisco over July 2026, with a typical home value of $1.42 million. It’s the 12th straight month that the city has seen home values rise, shooting up 13.7% over this time a year ago. But while it’s a massive increase, values are still down 4.6% versus the peak in 2022.
