After evading authorities for nearly a year, a California fugitive was captured in Arizona after a multiagency search effort, officials announced last week. 

According to a June 12 news release from the El Dorado County District Attorney’s Office and the FBI Sacramento Field Office, authorities captured sex offender Carl Cacconie, who had been on the run for almost 10 months.
