A Scribe’s Musings: Shovels in the ground for new Rodney playground

Ahead of schedule, a crew of diggers arrived at the Rodney Park March 30, and began to fence off an area adjacent to the Rodney Pool. 

They then proceeded to mark off a large rectangular area with twine and stakes. Several small excavators were in use within this area.

The ground slopes downward toward the south, and the effort seemed to be to dig down slightly at the southern section, but much deeper........
