Alphabet $GOOGL's Google launched Gemini 3.8 Flash on Wednesday, a model focused on coding and agentic tasks, as a federal judge separately rejected the Justice Department's effort to force the company to sell its AdX ad exchange.

Google called Gemini 3.8 Flash its most capable reasoning and coding model yet, pointing to advances over Gemini 3.7 Flash across software engineering benchmarks and multi-step task completion.
