LETTER: The coronation of Rob Lantz is improper

PC party leadership candidate Mark Ledwell and P.E.I. Liberal Leader Robert Mitchell agree on one thing. It is improper that Rob Lantz accepted the role of interim premier, remained in that role for the better part of one year, before flip flopping to announce in December he is seeking the leadership of the PC Party.

Lantz and the PC Party of P.E.I. have been entrusted with the democratic functions of government with the exit of then premier Dennis King, who resigned for a much-deserved patronage appointment as Canadian ambassador to Ireland for his loyalty to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and the federal Liberal government.

The Westminster parliamentary model (which former premier King liked to remind the Opposition that we operate under)........
