Peterman to talk on life’s work studying the Strickland Sisters

Join the Peterborough Historical Society (PHS) on Tuesday, May 19, from 7:30 to 9 p.m., for Michael Peterman’s Presentation “My Life with Susanna Moodie and Catherine Parr Traill: Academic and Personal Reflections.”

Peterman will discuss and reflect upon his life’s work on the Strickland Sisters — Moodie and Traill — and their brethren. He will offer a Peterborough story of some significance to today.

Peterman is author or co-author of 15 books, including eight about Moodie and Traill. He is a longtime supporter and volunteer of both Hutchison House and Peterborough Historical Society and is a retired professor from Trent University.

This event takes place at Peterborough Lions Community Centre, 347 Burnham St. Admission is free and donations are welcome. For more information, please visit phs-hutchisonhouse.ca. This will be........
