Fresh, local and twice a week: Peterborough Regional Farmers’ Market still in full summer swing
The Peterborough Regional Farmers’ Market is bursting with fresh local produce. It takes place twice a week, Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., in Quaker Foods City Square, 215 Charlotte St., near Aylmer Street.
Raspberries, green and yellow beans, corn, tomatoes, potatoes, greens, zucchini, and carrots are just some of the local seasonal produce currently available. The market also offers meats, honey, cheese, fresh flowers, plants, baked goods, prepared foods, coffee, wine, and a variety of artisans selling handmade items. The majority of market vendors are local primary producers who sell what they grow or raise. The remaining vendors include bakers, prepared food vendors, artists, musicians, and community groups.
The Peterborough market is family friendly. There is a splash pad for children and friendly, leashed dogs are always welcome. For more information, please visit........
