The Leafs have some decisions to make post season
Mitch Marner of the Toronto Maple Leafs is headed to unrestricted free agency at the end of the 2025 post-season. Marner will undoubtedly fetch a substantial pay raise. Whether or not that raise comes courtesy of the Maple Leafs remains to be seen.
Marner will garner plenty of attention from general managers throughout the NHL after eclipsing the 100-point mark for the first time in his nine seasons in Toronto.
While Marner’s future in Toronto remains in limbo, general manager Brad Treliving will have another important assignment to take care of this summer — extending a new contract to power forward Matthew Knies.
