Readers sound off on Netanyahu, data center opponents and local leisure
The dead merit the outcry, not the despot
Brooklyn: Re “Mamdani has to drop his Netanyahu arrest nonsense” (editorial, July 23): Explain to me how arresting a murderous dictator is nonsense? Where were you, Editorial Board, when Benjamin Netanyahu had countless children in Gaza killed? Where is the outcry over that?
If you support this so-called prime minister, you should be arrested yourself. His actions in Gaza have been horrendous and any right-minded person should support his arrest. So why not arrest him? Killing children and other innocent Palestinians, then stealing land under a false prophecy is not defending Israel. He is waging aggressive war against a civilian population in Gaza.
This isn’t about Jew-hate, which is wrong, and there is no room in this world for that. This is about Zionism having similarities to fascism. And no, hating Zionism and this murderous thief is not hating Jews. It’s hating Zionism. If you support the regime run by this fascist, you deserve to be arrested like any fascist supporter. Just because Palestinians don’t look like you or share your skin color or religion doesn’t mean that they are less human. Those who support Netanyahu are the ones who are less human. Find your moral compass.
Bronx: I disagree with the Editorial Board. I welcome American politicians strongly discussing their opinions on Israel, both for and against. When they do so, they should follow Zohran Mamdani’s lead and acknowledge what the government can and can’t do. Be open and honest with the public.
Blatant contradictions
