Assaults on East of England ambulance staff reach a five-year-high
East of England Ambulance Service staff and paramedics have been physically and verbally assaulted more than 6,000 times while on duty in the last five years.
It comes as the Association of Ambulance Chief Executives (AACE) warns that ambulance services have faced “highest-ever rate of violent, aggressive and abusive incidents against staff.”
