A record number of students have secured university places, with some 262,000 18-year-olds across the UK being accepted.

However, some, like Isabella from the Norwich High School for Girls, are taking a different route.

After achieving an A in Music and History and a B in Classics, she will be starting a career as a flautist with His Majesty's Royal Marine Band Service.

She also has the opportunity to study a music degree........
