However people are "deeply concerned" about the rate at which takeaway shops are cropping up - joining the 250-strong already lining the city streets.

And there's an ever-growing spate of new sites announcing themselves all around Norwich.

This has led to the Fine City being revealed as having higher than the UK average of fast food outlets.

'THERE'S TOO MANY'

Derrick Arnold, who lives in the city, said: "I’ve noticed a rise in fast food shops in the city – they’re opening all over the place, no doubt about it.

"They’re all competing with each other and it’s led to having way too many.

"It promotes bad eating habits when it’s easier to just order junk food.

"I wonder how some people can afford it sometimes because they sell themselves on being cheap but it can all add up."
