Elsie B, which opened in the Lanes at the end of November, will be holding a range of crafting workshops which give an insight into what goes into creating the weird and wonderful items on sale at the shop.

Owner Elise Green hopes the sessions on the first floor of the site, which include making clay jars, lampshade decorating and embroidery, will help the shop become the destination for budding creatives.

She said: "All the creatives that sell their items in here are doing workshops which is great because it shows the value of what they know.
