People living near the proposed site at the former Carscene dealership, in 86 Drayton Road, have voiced their "complete opposition and objection" to the plans.

Applicant, Tankerford Limited, says the proposals are to "address the changing needs of motorists in line with the government's objective to increase electric vehicles".

But objections have been raised by neighbours near the site.

One person who lives nearby said: "High numbers of pedestrians use this road to commute to school and work, as well as to access local parks.
