Onlookers spotted the burgundy BMW Z4 parked on double yellow lines in St Margaret's Street last week - blocking a delivery lorry from getting on to St Benedict's Street.

It has raised concerns that illegal parking will continue unless the rules are enforced better.

A member of staff working in St Benedict's Street said: "We were made aware of things when a lorry driver came in and asked if the BMW belonged to anyone in the shop.

"When 10 or 15 minutes had passed, a few onlookers attempted to set the car's alarm off, to alert the driver.........
